Photo sessions are always abit of a gamble when you do them outside. And because I predominately work on location I’m completely at the mercy of the weather. Today was especially difficult as at the precise moment the heavens opened my two little christmas photo models arrived with their mums. It wasnt even that damp sort of rain that I could put up with – it was full on torrential!
I had a to come up with a plan…and fast! So with my patio doors open and me stood in the rain we left the kids to play while I tried to salvage something of this wash out of a session. It all seemed to be going well until Maximillion (my cat) decided to join in on the fun and absconded with a couple of baubles, then just as I thought things couldnt get any worse, Holly (below) decided to crawl towards me. I wasnt concentrating and it threw me off balance and backwards on to my bum… on the soaking wet grass! This did however seem to break the ice and seeing as no bones appeared broken we managed to get a few lovely shots!

Typically just after they left the sun came out and the next session later in the morning was much drier! Watch out for more photos later this weekend…
